Reiki is a Japanese technique of laying on hands. It is used for relaxation and to promote healing. It is spiritually guided life force – the god consciousness called Rei that guides the life energy called Ki in the practice of Reiki. We are all alive because of life energy or Ki is flowing through us. Ki flows through the physical body through pathways we call chakras, meridians, and nadis.
When receiving treatment the Rei (the god conscious part) assesses where the person has blocks and directs the healing. The Reiki flows through the affected parts of the energy field charging them with positive energy, raising the vibratory level in and around the physical body. It clears, strengthens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the healthy healing Ki to flow.
When the flow of the Life Force Energy is disrupted, weakened or blocked, emotional or health problems tend to occur. Imbalances can be caused from many situations occurring in our lives, such as physical trauma, injury, negative thoughts, and feelings, fear, anger, anxiety, worry ,toxicity, neglecting yourself and lack of love for yourself and others, not expressing oneself etc. When we are relaxed we are able to restore our natural ability to heal.
