Meditation

There are many techniques for meditation. You can regulate your breath, visualize colors, move energy through your chakras, deities, repeat mantras or phrases, move with awareness, concentration, reflective meditation, receptive, silent and many more. All of these forms enhance, balance and harmonize the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.

Meditation eases your mind. Brings clarity, understanding and acceptance. It is also great for anxiety and depression and it calms your nervous system. Actually it is great all the way around. Brings in balance, harmony and wholeness.

Here is a simple meditation that works wonders 🙂

It is important to find a quiet place so you won’t be disturbed and if you can’t, than go in a bathroom and lock the door even if it is for a few minutes. Make sure you are comfortable. Wear loose clothing and find your space you can sit with your spine straight or lay down, just don’t fall asleep. Begin by breathing normally. Then deepen your breath inhale for a count of 7 hold for the count of 5 or more then exhale for the count of 7. Continue doing this for as long as you can being fully present and aware. As you are doing this you may notice some sensations. You may notice vibrations in your body or you may feel discomfort if you do then just breathe into these ares and allow it to become lighter till it dissipates. If you want while you are breathing you can add color or a flame, a mantra or whatever you choose. Begin with visualizing it above your head, bring the color down into your head, down your neck, shoulders, arms and out your finger tips down your spine, your throat, chest area, your lungs and  organs flowing down through your abdomen, down into your loins and into your legs and out of your feet. When you are done make sure you wiggle your hands and feet moving around to make sure you are grounded so you are stable and present.

Another meditation I like to do every morning is a breathing meditation.

Sit with your spine straight or you can lie down. Relaxing your shoulders, neck and spine. Take a few breaths breathe with awareness into your feet 3 times inhaling and exhaling really feeling the energy then bring it into your feet and legs 3 times. We are going up. Next you want to breathe into your root chakra 3 times feeling and sensing the color red feel the vibration then move it up to your sacral chakra breathing in 3 times sensing the color orange, then go up to your solar plexus breathing 3 times sensing the color yellow, then goto your heart chakra breathe the color green breathing in 3 times, then goto your hands breathe in 3 times, then your arms breathe in 3 times, then your shoulders breathe in 3 times  then go to your throat chakra breathing in 3 times sensing the color blue, then goto your third eye chakra sensing the color indigo breathing in 3 times, now your at your crown chakra breathe in 3 times and sense the color violet or white. That is liberating! Then go back down from your crown chakra all the way to the root chakra. To make sure your grounded.
